Many components were originally designed for metal or plastic. Therefore, simply applying these designs to ceramics without modification is not always advisable. Radii, wall thicknesses, force application, and tolerances must be adapted to the properties of the material. This optimization helps to fully leverage the advantages of technical ceramics and avoid unnecessary costs in later series production.
In build-to-print manufacturing, you specify the geometry and requirements. We handle the implementation using the appropriate ceramic material and select the suitable manufacturing process.

The goal is not merely technical manufacturability. The component must function reliably in its intended application and be producible in a reproducible manner at a reasonable cost.
Ideally, we work directly with a complete 3D model. Our preferred file format is STEP.
An accompanying drawing in PDF format is useful if it clearly indicates tolerances, functional surfaces, surface finishes, or other technical requirements. The 3D data remains the basis for the geometric inspection.
