Our Product Portfolio: Ceramic Applications and Components

Our product portfolio ranges from proven standard components to custom ceramic parts manufactured to drawing. Technical ceramics are primarily used in applications where conventional materials reach their limits—due to wear, chemical exposure, high temperatures, or loss of dimensional stability.

However, the entire component does not necessarily have to be made of ceramic. It often makes technical and economic sense to use the material selectively on stressed contact surfaces, in areas that come into contact with media, or at points where wear and temperature are critical factors.

A 3D model in STEP format is often sufficient for an initial review. We assess feasibility, check the geometry for suitability for ceramics, and provide early guidance on manufacturing processes and expected production costs.

Wear Protection for Machine Components

Hot Runner Support Ring

Wear can have various causes. To select the appropriate material and design the component, it is therefore necessary to first determine the specific wear mechanism at work.

Typical forms include:

Technical ceramics are specifically used in areas where they are critical to service life, process stability, or dimensional accuracy.

Typical components include:

Bearing Technology and Tribology

Ceramic Plain Bearing Solution

In bearing and friction applications, technical ceramics can offer advantages when temperature, media, or wear place excessive stress on conventional materials. When properly designed, they enable stable friction conditions, reduced material removal, and longer service life.

Typical components include:

The ceramic material alone does not determine performance in the field. Equally important are the material pairing, lubrication, surface finish, and specific load conditions. That is why we always consider bearing and friction systems in terms of the interaction of all components involved.

Metrology and Standards: Long-Term Precision

Ceramic and Carbon Shaft Extensions

In measurement technology, it is not just the initial accuracy that matters. Measurement and reference components must retain their shape and surface finish over a long period of time. The high wear resistance and dimensional stability of technical ceramics provide excellent conditions for this.

Our services include, among other things:

A measurement system is only reliably accurate over the long term if its reference and contact components maintain their accuracy even after many years of use.

Joining Technology and Welding Centering Pins

Positioning pin

In joining technology, positioning and centering components must maintain their geometry despite heat, weld spatter, and repeated mechanical stress. Ceramic components can increase service life and ensure the repeatability of the process.

Typical components include:

In series production in particular, even slight changes to a centering point can affect dimensional accuracy and process reliability. Wear-resistant ceramic components help limit these changes.

Textile Ceramics

Thread Guide

Textile and fiber processing combines high speeds with constant friction and delicate raw materials. Ceramic components offer high wear resistance and precisely definable surfaces. Both of these factors help maintain long-term stability in the process and the quality of the processed material.

Typical components include:

Custom Parts to Drawing

R&D Meeting

Many ceramic solutions are developed as custom parts to drawing, because the geometry, installation conditions, and loads vary from application to application. We manufacture according to drawings and 3D data, and, upon request, provide guidance on material-appropriate design as early as the design phase.

This includes, for example, recommendations regarding radii, wall thicknesses, force transmission, and function-specific tolerances. The goal is to create a component that reliably fulfills its purpose and can be manufactured cost-effectively.

To process this quickly, we need:

You provide the design data. We determine how to turn it into a ceramic component that meets the technical requirements and can be reproducibly manufactured in series.
